Energy sector solid top covers are an alternative option to concrete-infill covers on utility trough applications. An advantage of using a solid-top cover is the potential for weight-saving, where the covers could be designed to be manually lifted out where covers are being removed on a regular basis. Due to the nature of our manufacturing processes, solid steel covers are flexible in terms of design and can be customised to suit the necessary application. Solid covers are available in a variety of loadings ranging from pedestrian to heavy duty and even special load applications.
FSP has supplied these for installation on National Grids London Power Tunnel project and a selection of electrical substations.
