March 7, 2022 FSP access covers chosen for new waterside community

A new flagship community in Britain’s second city is the latest residential development to opt for FSP access covers.

We have supplied 25 600×600 FAB PAVE™ covers for the second phase of Port Loop in Birmingham to groundworks and civil engineering firm, O’Brien Contractors Ltd.

They are rated to FACTA B rating, ensuring they can cope with a gross load of up to 44 tonnes, making them suitable for areas such as pedestrian precincts, forecourts and commercial delivery and parking areas.

Port Loop is a new 43-acre community that is being developed by Urban Splash between the Birmingham Canal Old Line and the Birmingham Canal, but just 15 minutes from Birmingham city centre.

It will include more than 1,000 homes, a community hub, commercial office spaces, a new leisure centre, swimming pool and central Birmingham’s first new public green spaces in over a decade.
