March 7, 2022 FSP supports wastewater treatment project

With waste water and water treatment legislation hitting the headlines recently, we thought it was a fitting time to share our involvement in the Blackburn Batch Wastewater Treatment Works (WwTW) project.

The £200 million project aims to provide a holistic solution to addressing water quality and treatment maintenance issues in Lancashire.

The facility in Blackburn serves a population equivalent of 250,000 and was originally built in the 1960s.

We were approached by Laing O’Rouke to provide two of our United Utilities ladders and a United Utilities GRP Handrail.

Both of these items are made to order, allowing the customer to specify bespoke sizing, length and colour.

All our below ground products conform to industry regulations and are CE marked to the Construction Products Regulation (CPR) where appropriate.
