Another local landmark has seen health and safety improvements with the installation of FSP products.

A series of guard rails, headwall grilles and trash screens were bespokely manufactured for MSM Plant Hire — the company contracted to rectify health and safety regulation issues at Telford Town Park, which is less than two miles from FSP headquarters.

We worked alongside Andrew Smith, Schemes Coordinator at MSM Plant Hire, to conduct site visits, measure for the products and then coordinate installation once fabrication was complete.

Headwall grilles and trash screens are integral parts to water management systems and help to prevent litter and debris entering the watercourse culvert.

We developed custom product drawings to meet the exact needs and measurements of the site and manufactured them in less than three weeks.

The products are now installed on the ponds and the area has passed its subsequent health and safety assessment.

As a result, we have continued our relationship with the MSM Plant Hire team and are poised to work together on future Telford Town Park and other schemes.

Nick Ralph, our Product Designer who worked on the project, said: “It was great to work on a site that is so close to home and will help deliver tangible safety measures to the people of Telford.

“While FSP holds a number of standardised products in stock for UK-wide delivery, we also have the capability to design and manufacture bespoke products for specialist locations like this.”
