We actively support organisations, clubs and community initiatives through our community sponsorships , helping make a positive difference across our local area.
Through our sponsorships and community partnerships, we help local people, activities and organisations grow, connect and thrive. By investing in our communities, we create opportunities, strengthen local connections and make a lasting difference in the places where we live and work.
Supporting Madeley Cricket Club
Fabweld Steel Products (FSP) proudly sponsors Madeley Cricket Club, supporting local cricket and the wider community in which we operate.
Local sports clubs bring people together. They help people of all ages build confidence, develop skills and create lasting relationships. At FSP, we share these values. Our core values of Teamwork, Excellence, Adaptability and Morals guide the way we work and how we support others. Cricket brings these values to life through teamwork, personal development and a drive for excellence.
Through our sponsorship, FSP supports Madeley Cricket Club as it grows and creates opportunities for local players, families and volunteers. We also value the club’s contribution to the local community and its positive impact both on and off the pitch.
By supporting Madeley Cricket Club, FSP continues to invest in local organisations and the communities where we live and work.
FSP’s Chris James Takes on the Great North Run
Our Production Manager, Chris James, is taking on a new challenge this September as he runs his first half marathon at the Great North Run.
On Sunday 13th September, Chris will tackle 13.1 miles to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK. The charity funds vital research, raises awareness and supports men and families affected by prostate cancer.
Chris is putting himself to the test to help raise money for an important cause. Every donation, no matter the size, can help make a difference.

Supporting Lily Robert’s Peru Expedition
Fabweld Steel Products (FSP) supported 16-year-old Lily Robert as she prepared for a month-long volunteering expedition to Peru with Camp International.
Lily, a student at Wrekin College with aspirations of becoming a structural engineer, travelled to Peru to support local communities and environmental projects.
During her expedition, Lily:
- Helped construct community buildings
- Supported projects protecting riverbanks and local wildlife
- Took part in environmental conservation work
- Completed a five-day hike to Machu Picchu
We were inspired by Lily’s determination, fundraising efforts and commitment to helping others. Our sponsorship helped her reach her fundraising target and take part in this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
Lily’s expedition reflects many of the values we share at FSP — Teamwork, Excellence, Adaptability and making a difference.
A Dress Down Friday for Basset Hound Rescue 🐾
In July, we swapped our usual workwear for something a little more casual and raised £115 for Basset Hound Rescue through a Dress Down Friday.
The charity has a particularly special connection to our Finance Manager, Angela Dempster, who rescued her own Basset Hound through Basset Hound Rescue. That made this fundraising effort even more personal for us.
A big thank you to everyone at FSP who got involved and helped us raise £115 for the charity. It’s great to see a simple idea like Dress Down Friday turn into something that can make a real difference — and, of course, support more Basset Hounds in need of a loving home!
