July 15, 2026 FSP supports ‘trip of a lifetime’

A Shropshire steel fabricator has provided vital sponsorship to a local youngster who is heading off on a ‘trip of a lifetime’. Fabweld Steel Products has a consistent track record of supporting the local community and investing in future generations.

FSP’s latest donation has seen the company pledge money to 16-year-old student, Lily Robert, who is heading out to Peru, to take part in a month of voluntary work with Camp International.

The aspiring structural engineer who attends Wrekin College, will take part in helping to construct community buildings, environmental work to preserve riverbanks and local wildlife, while also taking on a five day hike up Machu Pichu.

She has thanked FSP for their contribution to the £4,560 she has raised so far, with the teenager almost at her £4,750 target.

FSP’s managing director Wayne Carter, said: “We’ve been inspired by Lily’s determination, fundraising efforts and dedication to helping others, and we’re delighted to contribute towards making this opportunity a reality.
