March 7, 2022 FSP drainage covers crowned with contract for Kings’ Quarter development

FSP’s Recessed Block Pavior (RBP) drainage covers have been specified for an £85m regeneration project which is set to transform Gloucester city centre.

The Kings Quarter development, which includes bars, restaurants, retail outlets, apartments and one of the largest digital hubs in the UK, will create a vibrant destination for people to work, live and visit.

Contractor PIC Construction chose FSP’s RBP cover with drainage slots for the project. This relatively niche product includes a drainage slot which allows the flow of ground water to be fed directly into the chamber the cover is installed over or down into a drainage channel below ground. It can be used with any landscape material, from paving bricks to tarmac, to blend seamlessly into its surroundings.

As they are not a commonly requested product, RBP covers are not offered by many manufacturers.
