March 7, 2022 FSP hits the right notes for college expansion

FSP has supplied a number of FAB TRAY™ access covers to a project that will transform London’s Royal College of Music and ensure it can support future generations of musical talent.

The More Music development is reimagining the historic space and includes a new building housing two new performance spaces, a new home for its museum, additional practice rooms and social spaces and a new entrance and foyer at its South Kensington campus.

A number of 2-part 1200x600mm stainless steel FAB TRAY recessed covers with locking screws and an airtight double neoprene seal were supplied to the build through Buildbase Civils and Lintels (London West).

These internal covers are certified to FACTA B load, which can withstand up to 50kN wheel loads that includes most internal risks such as trolleys and small pallet trucks.

Managing Director Richard Hilton said: “We are delighted that our product has been used on such a high profile project.

“Such an historic setting demands a prestige finish that can easily be achieved by using FAB TRAY as it can be infilled with the flooring or structural finish required.”

The project was visited by His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales earlier this year who was treated to the first musical performance in the new building. For more information on the #MoreMusic campaign, click here.
