March 7, 2022 FSP manufactures bespoke solution for Cambridge trail

Accessible cattle grids for a new walking and cycling route in Cambridge have been manufactured by FSP.

The grids, made in galvanised steel with 20mm thick threaded bars, have been supplied to Tarmac Trading, which is creating the Chisholm Trail, a long awaited route that will unite two parts of the city.

The Chisholm Trail will create a mostly off-road and traffic-free route between Cambridge Station and the new Cambridge North Station.

These grids come complete with wheelchair runners, that will enable the route to be fully accessible and a mammal ramp.

The mammal ramp allows any small animals that may fall through the gaps in the grid, to safely walk up and out through the bars.

Cattle grids are a new addition to our range of hard landscaping solutions that are suitable for a number of different infrastructure projects.
