March 7, 2022 FSP’s continuing commitment to quality gets rubber stamp

A drainage and access cover manufacturer has retained a trio of top standards that sets it apart as one of the leaders in its field.

Fabweld Steel Products (FSP), which designs and manufactures fabricated steel access covers and associated products at its Telford factory, passed its recertification audit for the international ISO 9001 for quality management, ISO 14001 for environmental management and OHSAS 18001 for health and safety with flying colours.

The firm has held the ISO 9001 accreditation since 1992 and the others since 2016. To gain reaccreditation, its policies and procedures were scrutinised during a three-day reassessment by an independent organisation last month.

Managing Director Richard Hilton said the global standards recognised the framework that FSP has in place to ensure it delivers excellence across those three areas.

“In recent years, we have heavily invested into improving management systems, traceability and quality control, to ensure the best outcomes for both our customers and staff and that has been reflected in this reaccreditation.

“We received no minor or major non-conformances during the audit and this reflects our determination to delivering the highest possible quality at every turn.

“This independent verification from outside experts gives peace of mind to our clients, suppliers and contractors that we are market leaders not only in terms of our products but the service we offer.”
