March 7, 2022 Oxfordshire housing development selects FSP for sewer solutions

Fabweld’s headwall grilles are to feature in the development of a new community in Oxfordshire.

Thirty seven hinged and non-hinged headwall grilles have been supplied to the scheme in North East Didcot that will provide up to 1,880 new homes, leisure and commercial facilities, sports and play provision and open space and new schools.

The grilles will be installed at numerous headwalls, some which require access to underground pipes and some which don’t, across the development.

The non-hinged grilles suit medium precast concrete headwalls and provide a fixed screen to prevent debris from entering the pipes.

The hinged grilles with a padlock facility are designed to Sewage for Adoption/Sewers for Scotland specifications to suit diameter pipes yet allow access for maintenance and removing any potential debris.

Both are manufactured in accordance to ISO:9001 quality system. Made of high-grade mild steel they are hot dip galvanised after manufacture to meet BS EN ISO:1461.

Managing Director Richard Hilton said: “Our water management range is vast and has evolved over the years to include headwall essentials such as hand rails, trash screens and ladders with a built-in walkthrough.

“Our manufacturing capabilities also means we can provide bespoke water management solutions and work with our clients to find the best most cost-effective solution possible for their project.”
