Trash Screen

FSP standard range of ‘Sewers for Adoption’ trash screens can be installed to reduce the amount of debris entering a culvert and also prevent unauthorised access. Our standard trash screens are manufactured in Galvanised Mild Steel and hot dip galvanised to BSEN1461, these products can also be supplied in a stainless steel finish. FSP design and fabricate screens to client specific requirements. Our design team works in conjunction with asset managers to ensure screen maintenance obligations are met. We have fabricated a large range including raked and cranked designs.

The design team at FSP are familiar with the ‘Trash and Security Screen Guide 2009’ and incorporate recommendations into their design evaluation. This guide states that trash screens are designed to reduce the amount of trash and debris entering the culvert and security screens are to prevent unauthorised access to the culvert. FSP fabricate in both Stainless Steel and Galvanised to BS EN ISO 1461:2009. Using stainless steel for the product provides corrosion, rust, stain and chemical resistance in both dry and wet conditions for a continuous pristine appearance.
